Senior Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Architecture:

   Design and implement highly scalable, performant, and secure APIs and microservices using

   Node.js and TypeScript

   .

2. API Development:

   Develop, document, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for consumption by our frontend applications and external partners.

3. Database Management:

   Work extensively with both SQL (e.g.,

   MS Sql

   , PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and optimization for large-scale data processing.

4. Cloud Infrastructure:

   Deploy and manage services within our cloud environment (AWS/GCP/

   Azure

   ). Experience with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) is a strong plus.

5. Quality & Testing:

   Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability. Participate in rigorous code reviews.

6. DevOps & CI/CD:

   Collaborate with DevOps to improve our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

7. Security:

   Implement security best practices, including authentication (OAuth/JWT), authorization, and data encryption to protect sensitive customer data in our multi-tenant environment.

8. Collaboration:

   Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivered features.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  5+ years of professional experience in backend development.

• Core Languages:

  Expert proficiency in

  Node.js

  and

  TypeScript

  .

• Architecture:

  Proven ability to design, build, and deploy multi-tenant, distributed SaaS systems.

• Database Expertise:

  Strong working knowledge of relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

• Testing:

  Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or similar.

• Cloud:

  Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Version Control:

  Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  GraphQL

  for API development.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like

  Docker

  and orchestration tools like

  Kubernetes

  .
• Proven experience scaling services using message queues (e.g.,

  RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS

  ).
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Clean Architecture principles.
• Experience in a heavily regulated industry or working with advanced security compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
