Job Description

The Senior Backend Developer (API Specialist) will design and build enterprise-grade backend services and APIs. This role is key in enabling secure, scalable integrations across internal systems and external platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with microservices, API gateways, and DevSecOps, along with performance tuning and versioning best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design microservice architectures and RESTful APIs using modern backend frameworks
• Implement secure API authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, OpenID)
• Manage API versioning, rate-limiting, and lifecycle documentation
• Work with API Management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management)
• Develop unit and performance tests to ensure robust integration
• Enable backend telemetry, tracing, and analytics
• Partner with frontend, cloud, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery

Technical Skills

• Languages: C#, .NET Core, Python, Java, Go
• API Technologies: Swagger/OpenAPI, GraphQL, Postman, API Management
• Cloud: Azure Functions, Azure API Management, AWS Lambda
• Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus
• Databases: SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Redis, Elasticsearch
• DevOps: Docker, Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub
• Security: OAuth2, TLS, JWT, Azure AD

Qualification

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer or Integration Architect a plus
• Experience with high-load, mission-critical API development
• Deep understanding of integration patterns, performance tuning, and observability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per year
