Type: Full-Time About 73 Strings 73 Strings is an innovative platform providing comprehensive data extraction, monitoring, and valuation solutions for the private capital industry The company's AI-powered platform streamlines middle-office processes for alternative investments, enabling seamless data structuring and standardization, monitoring, and fair value estimation at the click of a button 73 Strings serves clients globally across various strategies, including Private Equity, Growth Equity, Venture Capital, Infrastructure and Private Credit Our 2025 $55M Series B, the largest in the industry, was led by Goldman Sachs, with participation from Golub Capital and Hamilton Lane, with continued support from Blackstone, Fidelity International Strategic Ventures and Broadhaven Ventures Role Summary As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a foundational role in architecting and developing a greenfield module from scratch as part of our next-gen product suite Youll work in a cloud-first environment using Java 11+, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Hibernate, Azure, and modern DevOps practices Youll collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions Responsibilities Architect and build a new backend module from the ground up in a microservices-based architecture Drive product development from ideation to deployment, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring REST for seamless frontend integration Design and optimize data models and persistence layers using Hibernate and MySQL/Snowflake Ensure production-grade security using IAM (Azure AD), WAF Gateway, and secure API practices Lead code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and ensure code quality across the team Manage project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of product milestones Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, DevOps) to deliver seamless and cohesive experiences Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes on Azure Infrastructure Maintain clean code standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers Tech Stack Languages: Java 11+ Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring REST, Hibernate Cloud: Microsoft Azure Infra: Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic Databases: MySQL, Snowflake Tools: SonarQube (code quality), DRATA (compliance), StrongDM (PAM), Qwietai (SAST) Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Java backend development Bachelors degree in computer science from a Tier 1 college Engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of RESTful API design, ORM, multithreading, and system design Experience with cloud-native architecture; Azure preferred Hands-on with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Familiarity with DevSecOps tools (e-g, SonarQube, StrongDM, Cloudflare) Bonus: Familiarity with microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks We cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration, where your ideas matter We empower our team members to take initiative, learn continuously, and thrive in a supportive environment
