Senior Back-End Engineer

Job Description

5+ years of experience in back-end development with a deep understanding of system design and architecture. Expertise in Node.js , TypeScript , or another modern backend language (e.g., Go, Python, Java). Strong experience with databases (both relational like PostgreSQL and NoSQL like MongoDB or Redis). Proven ability to design and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs . Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and background job processing . Familiarity with Docker , Kubernetes , and cloud platforms like AWS , GCP , or Azure . Deep understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and security best practices. Comfortable with CI/CD workflows, testing, monitoring, and alerting systems. We re seeking a highly experienced Back-End Engineer with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable server-side systems. In this role, you will lead the design and development of APIs, core services, data pipelines, and infrastructure that power our products. You will be instrumental in shaping system architecture, optimizing performance, and ensuring security, reliability, and efficiency across all backend services. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust APIs, microservices, and backend systems. Architect scalable systems and infrastructure that can handle high-volume traffic and data. Optimize performance of services, databases, and integrations. Own and enforce best practices in code structure, observability, deployment, and testing. Collaborate cross-functionally with front-end, product, and DevOps teams. Manage data modeling, caching strategies, and background job queues. Implement authentication, authorization, and other security practices. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and roadmap planning.
