Senior Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services

Key Responsibilities

• Lead modernization of enterprise and healthcare applications into

  cloud-native architectures on Azure

  .
• Refactor legacy applications into modern

  .NET/Java-based microservices

  deployed on

  Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  and

  App Services

  .
• Migrate legacy data stores to

  Azure SQL

  and

  Cosmos DB

  , ensuring consistency, performance, and reliability.
• Implement

  Azure-native integration patterns

  for HL7 messaging using

  API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Logic Apps

  .
• Build

  healthcare interoperability workflows

  aligned with

  HL7 v2.x, v3, and FHIR standards

  .
• Design and optimize

  Azure networking components

  (VNets, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, App Gateway, Private Link, NSGs, Firewalls).
• Tune

  performance, throughput, and latency

  to meet healthcare-scale workloads.
• Implement

  monitoring, observability, and resiliency

  using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Ensure compliance with

  HIPAA, SOX, FDA GxP, GDPR, and healthcare data security standards

  .
• Collaborate with

  solution architects and technical leads

  in design, integration, and deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years

  of IT experience, with

  3+ years in Azure engineering/modernization projects

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  Azure services

  , including:

• Networking:

  VNets, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Front Door, NSGs, Firewalls.

• Compute & App Services:

  AKS, App Services, Functions, Logic Apps.

• Data:

  Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Data Factory.

• Integration:

  Service Bus, Event Hubs, API Management.
• Proficiency in

  .NET Core, Java, Python, or C/C++

  (legacy COBOL knowledge a plus).
• Hands-on experience with

  HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR)

  including parsing, transformations, and messaging workflows.
• Experience with

  DevOps pipelines

  (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for automated deployments.
• Strong

  troubleshooting skills

  in networking, performance tuning, and system resiliency.
• Knowledge of

  containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  and orchestration platforms.

• Added Advantage:

  Familiarity with

  HP NonStop (HPNS)

  components (Enscribe, NonStop SQL/SQL-MX, Pathway, Guardian OS).

Qualifications

• Certifications:

  Any

  relevant Microsoft Azure certification (AZ-XXX series)

  applicable for Azure engineers/architects (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-700, AZ-900, etc.).
• Experience with

  healthcare systems integration

  (EHR, EMR, HL7 middleware such as Mirth Connect or MuleSoft).
• Familiarity with

  data security and compliance frameworks

  (HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001).
• Hands-on experience with

  Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

  using ARM templates or Terraform, including writing modules, templates, and managing state files.
• Proficiency in

  Azure DevOps toolchain

  (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards).
• Strong understanding of

  cloud security principles

  , IAM policies, encryption, network security, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with

  FinOps practices

  for cost-performance optimization.
• Excellent
