Summary:
As an AWS Cloud Implementation Specialist with expertise in cloud security and best practices, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud solutions on the AWS platform. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements, architecting cloud infrastructure, and implementing security measures to safeguard data and applications. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of AWS cloud services while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and architect secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform, considering business requirements, performance objectives, and security best practices.
- AWS Service Implementation: Implement AWS cloud services and features, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring solutions, to meet business needs and optimize resource utilization.
- Cloud Security Management: Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and applications in the cloud environment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- DevSecOps Practices: Implementing secured CI/CD pipelines for managing the Lambda functions and mobile app deployment , using deployment strategies like blue-green, canary etc.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Configure and manage IAM roles, policies, and permissions to control access to AWS resources and enforce least privilege principles across the cloud infrastructure.
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement security monitoring tools and processes to detect and respond to security threats and incidents in real-time, ensuring timely remediation and continuous improvement of security posture.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal security policies, conducting regular audits and assessments to maintain a secure and compliant cloud environment.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud resource usage and costs through effective resource provisioning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning, leveraging AWS cost management tools and best practices.
- Cloud Automation and Orchestration: Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, or other automation tools to streamline cloud provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
- Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions on AWS, including data backup, replication, and failover strategies, to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
- Cloud Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to internal teams on AWS cloud services, security best practices, and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Experience & Exposure:
- 5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with a focus on AWS cloud services.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including network security, encryption, data protection, and compliance requirements (e.g. NIST , ISO/IES 27001, CERT-In among others).
- Expertise in configuring and managing AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, AWS Config, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, etc.
- Familiarity with serverless computing services and architectures on AWS, such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc., for building scalable and cost-effective cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and technologies, such as AWS Security Hub, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Inspector, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools for integrating security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated security testing.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash, to automate cloud deployment, configuration, and management tasks.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools for migrating on-premises workloads to AWS cloud infrastructure, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring approaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders, project teams, and senior management to articulate technical solutions and recommendations.
- Preferable- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Security Specialist, or any other equivalent cloud certifications.

- Experience with cloud-native security services and solutions, such as AWS KMS for key management, AWS CloudHSM for hardware security modules (HSMs), AWS Certificate Manager for SSL/TLS certificate management, etc.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- AWS certifications or relevant professional certifications in cloud computing, security, or related disciplines are preferred.
