Job Description

You will be responsible for leading one audit at a time and conducting and documenting more complex and high-risk audits throughout the Corporation. Your role will involve demonstrating professional skepticism and questioning processes to facilitate improvements. You will be finalizing planning documents, conducting first-level reviews, and applying analytical skills to evaluate controls and audit results. Additionally, you will work with the Audit engagement Senior Auditor II or Team Leader/Manager I or II to develop audit objectives and assist with developing the audit budget and timeframe based on risks and objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead one audit at a time and conduct high-risk audits - Demonstrate professional skepticism and facilitate process improvements - Finalize planning documents and conduct first-level reviews - Apply analytical skills to evaluate controls and audit results - Work with Audit engagement Senior Auditor II or Team Leader/Manager I or II to develop audit objectives - Assist in developing audit budget and timeframe - Review work papers of audit team members - Communicate audit status to business unit and Audit Services management - Draft findings and recommendations for status updates, memos, and audit reports - Coordinate with other audit teams to ensure timely evaluations Qualifications Required: - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience - Knowledge of audit procedures and standards - Comprehensive understanding of Audit Services" Internal Audit Charter, Policy, and Methodology - Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures related to auditing/accounting standards - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Flexible and adaptive to change - College or University degree preferred In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications, Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company, is a globally recognized financial institution with over 130 years of experience and more than 22,000 partners.
