About the Role
Join our Financial Crime Compliance team within PwC, where we help global financial institutions manage their regulatory obligations and strengthen their AML and financial crime frameworks. As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory and managed service projects focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) remediation, and Transaction Monitoring (TM).
You will work with global banks, investment firms, and financial service providers to assess risks, enhance compliance controls, and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of client engagements related to      AML, KYC, sanctions, and transaction monitoring.
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due      diligence (EDD), and periodic reviews as part of KYC remediation programs.
- Review alerts, investigate transactions, and escalate      potential suspicious activities in accordance with client policies.
- Assist in the design and enhancement of AML / FCC      frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze regulatory requirements and assess their      impact on clients compliance processes.
- Prepare clear, well-structured documentation and      reports for internal and client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal,      compliance, operations, and technology) across geographies.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate Level:
- Lead small      teams or workstreams within large engagements, ensuring high-quality      delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Review and      quality-check work completed by Associates and provide constructive      feedback.
- Manage      client communications and contribute to stakeholder updates and      presentations.
- Support the      development of proposals, methodologies, and training materials for      financial crime engagements.
- Contribute      to thought leadership and knowledge sharing on emerging FCC trends,      technologies, and regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree      in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or related field.
- 3+ years of experiencein AML / KYC /      Transaction Monitoring roles within global banks or consulting firms.
- Solid understanding of global AML regulations (e.g.,      FATF, OFAC, EU 5AMLD/6AMLD, UK FCA, MAS, HKMA).
- Hands-on experience in:
- KYC onboarding and periodic reviews (corporate and       institutional clients preferred).
- Transaction monitoring, alert investigation, and       escalation.
- Name screening and sanctions review processes.
- Familiarity with FCC tools and systems (Actimize,      Mantas, Fircosoft, LexisNexis, etc.) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and      report-writing skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent      communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money      Laundering Specialist), CFE, or equivalent FCC qualification.
