Senior Associate Drafting and Prosecution

Role Overview: You will be responsible for drafting provisional and non-provisional patent applications in compliance with USPTO, EPO, and PCT rules. Additionally, you will be drafting responses to Examination reports and Office Actions, providing technical arguments, and attending hearings. You will also assist in Patent Oppositions, conduct inventor interviews, and deliver multiple projects independently. Key Responsibilities: - Draft provisional and non-provisional patent applications - Draft responses to Examination reports and Office Actions - Assist in Patent Oppositions and provide technical support to the litigation team - Conduct inventor interviews and/or schedule calls with client IP counsel - Independently prepare and deliver multiple projects - Willingness to work extended hours to meet client requirements Qualifications Required: - BS in Chemistry with a minimum of 10 years of experience in patent draft preparation - MS or Ph.D. in Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in patent draft preparation Additional Details: The company is looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge in the Chemistry domain, proficiency in drafting projects related to other Life Sciences domains, working knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio, and prior experience with patent search or patent analytics projects. Being a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, knowledge of patent and non-patent databases, and good interpersonal and client management skills are also desirable traits for this role.
