Description
As a Senior Java Developer at BNP Paribas, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications. You must have extensive experience working with the Java programming language and be well-versed in various Java-based frameworks and libraries. Your role will involve analyzing requirements, developing end-to-end solutions for both frontend and backend, writing clean and efficient code, and creating unit and integration test cases with above-average code coverage. Additionally, you will be required to diagnose bugs across environments and assist in their resolution. Your expertise will be crucial in working on Proof of Concepts to introduce new features in applications. Key Responsibilities: - 4 to 10 years of experience in Java Development - Expertise in Java8 & above, Junit - Proficiency in Web Technologies such as Spring Boot and related frameworks - Strong command of SQL for queries, Packages, stored procedures, functions, and database modeling - Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA, Webservices (API) - Proficiency in at least ONE Front End Technology (Angular/jQuery/React/GWT) - Implementation of security features like authentication and authorization using Spring Security - Designing, developing, and maintaining complex software using required technologies - Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability - Participating in code reviews to maintain quality standards - Troubleshooting and debugging software issues as needed, providing L3 support if required - Escalating barriers to progress to the team leader promptly - Reviewing current project designs, identifying drawbacks, and proposing performant, scalable designs - Training new team members for functional and technical knowledge - Improving application performance - Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software features and enhancements As part of BNP Paribas, a leading European bank with operations in 65 countries and over 185,000 employees globally, you will be contributing to the Group's mission of helping clients realize their projects through a range of financial solutions.
