This position provides input, support, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.Responsibilities:

Senior App Developer with minimum 5+ years experience developing applicationsExperience creating REST services (APIs) keeping microservice design patterns in mindFamiliarity with Spanner / SQL ServerExperience creating integration services to consume/process data from other systemsFamiliarity with GCP PubSub / AMQP is helpful neededAble to create CI/CD pipeline for the above services (Jenkins / Terraform)Able to create relevant documentation for each of the servicesPerform design reviews and code reviewsExperience providing real time knowledge transfer to UPS teamEstablish UPS best practices in design/coding/testingProvide best practices for performance tuningFamiliarity with testing, automation, and BDD testing frameworks is desired as well.Provide best practices for distributed logging and aggregating them to have appropriate instrumentation for all servicesDevelop microservices keeping in mind best practices for cloud native applications (GCP GKE / OpenShift)
