Senior Application Specialist

As a Specialist/Senior Specialist in Application Testing at Linde Global Services Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for providing testing services to ongoing Corporate IT and Regional IT engagements. You will offer hands-on test automation services, understand business requirements from the lead/stakeholders, analyze and propose the best technical solutions based on feasibility and Return on Investment (RoI). Your role will involve building, maintaining, and optimizing testing/test automation artifacts, learning, evaluating, and proposing new methodologies, tools, and technology. You will deliver test automation services as per committed quality and timeline, run automation initiatives from design to deployment, and build automation for SAP and non-SAP environments while coordinating with testers in scoping and supporting automation efforts. In addition, you will understand business processes to facilitate better automation execution, execute tests manually to support efficient automation design, and deliver periodic automated test runs to the application landscape. Independently interpreting and resolving test run outcomes, effectively communicating with stakeholders, understanding tool functionality, and providing tool-based support are also key aspects of your role. Collaboration with relevant stakeholders, contributing to technical evaluations of tool fitment, documenting artifacts to meet compliance requirements, and supporting new team members in understanding the test automation process and framework are also part of your responsibilities. You will help distribute knowledge within the team through proactive cross-skilling and knowledge management activities, develop estimations for test automation, and support in demonstrating benefits cases. To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical and non-technical communication skills, be methodical and process-oriented, have expertise in test design and execution, and stay updated on trends and developments related to testing/test automation. Strong hands-on experience with multiple testing/test automation tools/frameworks, knowledge of coding/scripting, and experience in analyzing and interpreting test results are essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent, along with ISTQB certification or formal training in related technology/process areas, is required. Additionally, you should have 6 to 10 years of experience in software testing with at least 3 years of experience in Test Automation. SAP Functional knowledge, exposure to AI-based testing/test automation tools, experience in CI/CD pipelines, and knowledge of RPA are also desired.
