Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
Should co-ordinate between onshore & offshore teams
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
Design and create test conditions, test data and test scripts to address business and technical use cases
Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Selenium & Cucumber
Must have
8+ years of experience in software test design and testing methodologies
Strong hands-on experience in RESTful and SOAP API testing.
Proficient in tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or Insomnia.
Skilled in automating API test cases using frameworks like: Rest Assured (Java-based),TestNG, Cucumber
Capable of validating request/response elements including headers, status codes, payload, and schema (JSON/XML).
Ability to create or enhance API automation frameworks.
Experience in assertions, test data parameterization, and request chaining.
Solid understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and Basic Auth.
Integration of API tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
Experience in version control (Git) and generating automation test reports using Allure/ExtentReports.
Basic SQL knowledge to verify backend impact or troubleshoot issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
