Senior API Automation Engineer (Rest Assured)

Location: Bangalore
Experience: 8+ Years (Minimum 6 Years in API Automation using Rest Assured)Salary: 13- 15 LPA

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced API Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Rest Assured to join our QA Automation team. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of API testing, automation frameworks, and backend validations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for REST APIs
• Validate API responses, status codes, headers, and payloads
• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand API requirements
• Integrate API automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through effective test strategies and defect tracking

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of overall QA / Automation experience
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in API Automation using Rest Assured
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML
• Experience with Java, Maven/Gradle
• Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
