Senior Analyst, Workday Absence & Benefits

As a Senior Workday Analyst/Specialist at Monks, you will play a crucial role in owning and leading the configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of the Absence and Benefits modules within the global HR technology ecosystem. Your expertise in Workday will be instrumental in enhancing the employee experience through smart, scalable solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday Absence and Benefits modules for both US and global operations. - Act as the primary configuration expert for enhancements, change requests, and maintenance activities. - Lead the end-to-end configuration lifecycle, including gathering business requirements, prototyping, testing, deploying, and documenting. - Manage issue resolution and support tickets for Absence and Benefits, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes. - Stay updated on Workday releases and assess their impact on existing configurations and integrations. - Provide guidance on best practices for process design, data accuracy, and compliance within Absence and Benefits. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance employee-facing processes and self-service experiences. - Offer support and advice on related configuration touchpoints such as Compensation, Time Tracking, and HCM as needed. **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, with a focus on Absence and Benefits for at least 3+ years. - Deep understanding of Workday Absence Framework, eligibility rules, benefit events, enrollment logic, and time-off calculations. - Strong analytical skills to translate complex business needs into scalable configurations. - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. - Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a global, matrixed environment.
