Senior Accountant

**Job Description:** As a Senior Accounts Executive at SONA College of Technology - Hostel in Salem, your primary responsibility is to maintain and manage day-to-day accounting transactions. You will also assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Your role includes supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, as well as assisting in tax computations and filing of returns. Furthermore, you will be accountable for maintaining and updating ledger accounts and financial statements, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and statutory regulations, and utilizing accounting software (Tally/ERP) to manage financial data accurately. Additionally, you will prepare MIS reports and financial analysis as required and collaborate with other departments for smooth financial operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and manage day-to-day accounting transactions - Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports - Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings - Assist in tax computations and filing of returns - Maintain and update ledger accounts and financial statements - Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations - Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory regulations - Use accounting software (Tally/ERP) to manage financial data accurately - Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis as required - Collaborate with other departments for smooth financial operations **Qualifications and Skills:** - Proven work experience as an Accounts Executive or similar role, preferably 10 years - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and ERP systems - Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables - Good understanding of tax regulations and compliance - Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail - Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively - Good communication and interpersonal skills Please note that the work location for this role is on the road.,
