Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, your role involves managing and finalizing company financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and other financial statements. Additionally, you will maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts, review accounting entries, and supervise junior accountants. Your tasks will also include preparing schedules for auditors, monitoring cash flow, budgets, and fund utilization, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements like GST and TDS. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and finalize Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and other financial statements. - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts. - Review and ensure proper posting of all accounting entries and adjustments. - Supervise and guide junior accountants in daily accounting operations. - Prepare schedules and reports for auditors and management review. - Monitor cash flow, budgets, and fund utilization. - Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements. - Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and cost control. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. - Minimum 5-8 years of accounting experience (construction or manufacturing preferred). - Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software. - Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, and Income Tax. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
