Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, cost control, and compliance within our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project accounting, taxation, and financial management, ensuring the company's financial health and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with DT & IDT department / and company policies. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, profit & loss accounts, and balance sheets . Handle audit preparation and liaise with internal and external auditors. Ensure timely closing of books of accounts and maintain general ledger integrity. 2. Project Accounting & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and variance analysis for EPC projects. Review and approve project cost allocation, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting , and revenue recognition. Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams for cost forecasting and control . Support cash flow management and oversee billing and collections related to EPC contracts. 3. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxes (GST, TDS, WHT, Corporate Tax, etc.) . Handle tax planning, filings, and audits in coordination with tax advisors. Keep up-to-date with financial regulations affecting EPC operations and ensure regulatory compliance . 4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Supervise the processing of vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations . Ensure timely collection of receivables from clients and subcontractors . Maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to ensure smooth financial operations. 5. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning . Provide variance analysis and financial insights to management for strategic decision-making. Support financial modeling for new projects, tenders, and feasibility studies . Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA / CA / CMA preferred). Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an EPC, construction, or infrastructure company . Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of project accounting, IFRS/GAAP, and tax laws . Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel . Familiarity with contract accounting (Percentage of Completion, Cost-to-Cost method) . Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment .
