Technical Writer I Information Security (Remote)
Full time, India, Colombia, Costa Rica
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Writer to support our Information Security team in producing and managing high-quality documentation. This mid-level role is responsible for maintaining a centralized document repository, updating materials for audits and compliance, and creating new content that supports internal and external communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security concepts and the ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible documentation.
As a Technical Writer I Information Security, you will
- Develop, edit, and maintain security-related documentation including policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
- Own and manage the document repository, ensuring proper version control, organization, and accessibility
- Update documentation in preparation for internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews
- Create new documents to support evolving security initiatives, technologies, and operational needs
- Draft and refine internal and external communications related to security awareness, updates, and initiatives
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across technical and business teams to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards, branding, and compliance requirements
- Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and contribute to knowledge management efforts
About You
- Extensive experience in technical writing, preferably in cybersecurity or IT
- Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with attention to detail
- Architectural documentation skills (diagrams, flow-charts, statistics)
- Experience with document management systems and collaboration platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory documentation standards is a plus
