Job Summary:

A Security Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by managing and leading a team of security guards or officers. They are responsible for overseeing security operations, enforcing security policies, and coordinating responses to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision: Direct and supervise a team of security guards, ensuring that they are properly trained, motivated, and performing their duties effectively.

Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including patrols, access control, and surveillance, to ensure the security plan is followed meticulously.

Security Protocols: Develop and implement security procedures, protocols, and policies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Training: Conduct or arrange training sessions for security personnel, covering topics such as emergency response, conflict resolution, and customer service.

Resource Management: Manage security resources, including scheduling, assigning duties, and monitoring workload to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.

Incident Response: Coordinate responses to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.

Reports and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, activity logs, and shift reports, and ensure they are completed by security staff.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and communication systems, is functional and well-maintained.

Customer Relations: Interact with clients, employees, residents, or visitors professionally, addressing concerns and inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to security measures.

Compliance: Stay current with security laws and regulations, ensuring that the security team adheres to all applicable rules and guidelines.

Emergency Planning: Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field may be preferred).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field. Experience in Mining Industry will be preferred
  • Leadership and supervisory experience, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, equipment, and best practices.
  • First aid and CPR certification may be required.
  • Proficiency in using security technology and software.

Security Supervisors can advance their careers by gaining additional experience and training. They may seek opportunities to become Security Managers, CSO, or move into other roles in security management, where they have broader responsibilities for security planning, strategy, and budgeting within an organization. Additional certifications and education in security management or related fields can enhance career prospects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
