Job Description

Security guards are responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring access control. Core Responsibilities: Patrolling and Surveillance: Regularly patrol assigned areas, both on foot and in vehicles, to maintain a visible presence and deter crime. Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect any unusual activity. Access Control: Control access to premises, checking visitors and employees, and ensuring adherence to security protocols. Incident Reporting: Report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security breaches to appropriate authorities. Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with emergency services. Asset Protection: Protect valuable items and property from theft, damage, or vandalism. Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees. Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and other relevant activities. Additional Responsibilities: Crowd Control: Direct traffic and manage crowds during events or emergencies. First Aid: Provide basic first aid assistance to those in need, if trained. Threat Assessment: Identify potential threats and take appropriate action to mitigate risks. Security System Maintenance: Ensure security systems are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions. Training and Supervision: In some cases, security guards may be responsible for training and supervising other security personnel.
