Security Analyst 3

You will be part of a team responsible for defending Oracle cloud infrastructure from adversaries and insider threats. Your role will involve threat hunting, analyzing indicators of compromise (IOCs), investigating security events, incident management, and digital forensics across LaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. As a Senior SOC Analyst, you will use advanced security tools and automation to rapidly detect and respond to real-time security alerts and conduct detailed root cause investigations. Collaborating with other SOC personnel, forensics, incident response, and engineering partners will be crucial in mitigating various threats and malicious activities. You will also execute controls to protect the infrastructure and employees against internal and external attacks and infiltration. **Responsibilities:** - Support shifts and on-call rotations - Detect and respond to security events and threats - Lead complex investigations and deep analysis of security events - Work with security engineering teams to enhance monitoring and detection - Operate SOC technologies including SIEM, IDS, SOAR, Firewalls, etc. - Assist with security incident response activities - Develop and execute Standard Operating Procedures - Work directly with system owners to remediate security incidents - Prepare reports for the SOC manager - Actively monitor and respond to SIEM alert queue - Investigate alerts using standard procedures - Contribute towards improving incident response delivery **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field - 5+ years of experience in Security Operations Center or Incident Response - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - Experience with various operating systems and threats - Programming experience with Python - Excellent communication skills - Experience performing open-source research on security topics Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions, using advanced technology to address current challenges.
