Section Head - Planning

Role & responsibilities

1.To plan materials for shop floor machines and assembly benches to ensure that the plant resources are used for its optimal capacity. 2. To plan all resources of the plant for its alignment with the customer delivery commitment. 3. Working knowledge in SAP is MUST.

Material Planning

1 Material planning for production activities to meet Customer due dates 2 To plan for Finished components required for direct shipment to Customers 3 Key goals - To maintain high OTD, Continuously reduce lead time and reduce unallocated inventory 4 "To continuously monitor the stock levels and initiate actions for filling, altering stock position to meet Customers due dates without increasing inventory levels" 5 To provide input to Marketing on delivery dates based on Material availability 6 To closely monitor the inventory levels and reduce it, find alternate uses for slow moving, non moving inventory

Production Planning

1 Production planning for in house machining / assembly operations / outside machining to meet customers' delivery commitments 2 Release of production orders, production plan--day wise/ week wise / month wise for machining / assembly 3 MRP run for sale/machining orders for material and capacity planning. 4 Co-ordination with Imports cell, for schedule of imported components 5 Reports generation / analysis - to improve planning process 6 Key goal - to achieve 95%+ On time delivery performance 7 To monitor lead times for order completion and improve lead times 8 To play a key role in coordination with production, material planning & purchase 9 Ensure release of weekly load for machine shop and assembly 10 Sequencing the load sheet according to the customer requirement 11 Releasing production order for machine shop and assembly

Preferred candidate profile

BE Mechanical Engineering with Minimum 8 Years of Experience in planning in SAP (MM and PP) in a make to order scenario. Should be an expert level SAP user of MM and PP modules, ideally a core team member of SAP roll out. Valve / Pump / Pressure Vessel Industry is must. Willing to settle down in Trichy
