Description
Job Summary We are looking for a talented and self-driven SDN Engineer to join our Network Engineering and Automation team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating SDN solutions that enhance network performance, automation, and service delivery for Ericssons telecom customers. You will work with next-generation networks including 5G, cloud-native architectures, and virtualized network functions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SDN/NFV-based network solutions across multiple domains. Work on SDN controllers (e.g., OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX) and orchestration platforms. Integrate SDN solutions with existing network infrastructure and OSS/BSS systems. Implement automation and CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning and monitoring using tools like Ansible, Python, Jenkins. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end network services. Analyze and troubleshoot network behaviors, configurations, and performance issues. Contribute to architecture design discussions and support pre-sales activities where necessary. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field. 3–6 years of experience in SDN/NFV domain, ideally in telecom or enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with SDN platforms like OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, or VMware NSX. Proficiency in network automation tools: Python, Ansible, REST APIs, YANG/NETCONF. Familiarity with virtualized environments (VMware, OpenStack, KVM) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, routing protocols, and IP/MPLS. Experience with service orchestration platforms (e.g., ONAP, ETSI MANO) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
