SDET Manager (Backend)

As an experienced and hands-on SDET Manager at Arise Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. (powering PragmaticPlay), your main role is to lead and mentor a team of highly skilled Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs). Your primary focus will be on automation and tooling to enhance the testing and release processes effectively. Your responsibilities include: - **Automation Strategy and Execution:** - Automating complex test cases, maintaining automation frameworks, and integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). - Collaborating with engineering teams to understand product features, define testing requirements, and develop automated solutions for early feedback. - **Tooling Development and Innovation:** - Creating tooling solutions for tasks like test data generation, environment management, test execution, reporting, and defect tracking. - Staying updated on automation trends and open-source tools to introduce innovative solutions for enhancing the automation framework. - **Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:** - Identifying risks and issues, collaborating with stakeholders to drive quality improvements. - Maintaining strong relationships with management by providing quality metrics updates and addressing any issues affecting timelines or product quality. - **Hands-On Problem Solving skill and Risk Mitigation:** - Proactively identifying software quality risks and providing technical leadership to mitigate them. - Supporting the team in resolving technical blockers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. - **Lead and Manage SDET Team:** - Managing, mentoring, and growing a team of SDETs focused on automation, tool development, and testing process improvements. - Providing clear direction to align the team's work with company-wide goals for product quality and test automation. **Good to Have:** - Experience with gaming industry QA or game testing processes. - Experience with security testing frameworks (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) for identifying vulnerabilities in APIs and web applications. **Qualifications Required:** - 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.
