As a Manual Tester at Skeps, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, tracking, and analyzing defect leakage to identify areas for improvement. You will design, document, and execute test cases across various functionalities to ensure thorough test coverage. Utilizing tools like Jira, Excel, and other task management platforms, you will meticulously document test cases and track results. By integrating automated test scripts into regular BAU testing processes, you will streamline quality assurance activities. Your contribution to agile sprint planning by accurately estimating story points based on test effort and complexity will be essential. End-to-end documentation of features, including the creation and maintenance of Postman collections for API testing and validation, will be part of your regular tasks. Additionally, you will review and enhance test cases created by peers to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members will be crucial in fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in an Agile software development environment with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a Manual Testing Role. Proficiency in Testrail or similar tools, Postman, and relevant test management tools is essential. Experience in creating test documentation, knowledge of defect tracking metrics, and solid knowledge of SQL and Scripting Languages are desirable. Experience with performance or security testing and good knowledge of cross-device/platform/browser testing/mobile testing are considered a plus.
