Description
As an SDET II focusing on Mobile testing at Suki, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless performance and usability of our iOS and Android apps. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining automated test cases for iOS and Android using Appium, writing test cases for mobile-specific features like touch gestures, voice streaming, and offline scenarios, and performing testing on real devices and simulators to ensure compatibility across a wide range of devices. You will work closely with Mobile Developers to integrate testing into the development pipeline and collaborate with Product, developers, design, and release management teams. Your role will involve analyzing test results, debugging mobile-specific issues, and assisting developers in identifying root causes. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving test coverage as new features are added to the app and participating in requirement analysis to ensure well-defined user stories for testing. To excel in this role, you should have 3+ years of experience in mobile test automation, architecting and implementing QA processes. Proficiency in Appium and mobile testing tools, experience with Android Studio, Xcode, and testing on real devices, and strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and testing backend integrations for mobile are essential. Familiarity with Swift, Kotlin, CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, gQL, gRPC, REST API, microservices, GCP, and proficiency with one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java, are also required. Strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Science, AI/ML, or a related engineering field are necessary qualifications. An MS/PhD is a plus, and previous start-up experience is advantageous.
