Your role as a SDET 3 involves playing a crucial part in the creation of internal tools and scalable frameworks that empower engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. This position transcends traditional testing as it focuses on owning platform-level capabilities that facilitate development, automation, and continuous delivery across our range of products. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing Tools & Frameworks: Building and managing internal tools for CI/CD, test execution, remote development environments, and observability. Crafting reusable automation frameworks to expedite development and quality processes. - Experimenting & Innovating with AI & Automation: Assessing and incorporating AI-driven solutions to optimize testing and development processes while enhancing internal tool capabilities. - Managing Test Infrastructure & Developer Experience: Creating scalable infrastructure to support automated testing, local development tooling, and quick feedback loops. Ensuring standardization of tooling across teams that are developer-friendly and effective. - Promoting Quality at Scale: Defining lightweight quality metrics and constructing systems that encourage continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering excellence without introducing obstacles. - Mentoring & Influencing Teams: Providing guidance to junior SDETs and engineers on testing strategies, best practices in tooling, and framework design. Serving as a technical ally across product and platform teams. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Over 5 years of experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering. - Proficient in programming with Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Hands-on experience in developing scalable internal tools and frameworks. - Exposure to CI/CD, observability, etc. - Prior experience with AI/ML tools or frameworks in the context of testing is advantageous. - Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Strong sense of ownership with the ability to independently lead technical initiatives from inception to implementation. Nice to Have: - Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). - Contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks.
