SDE 2 (MERN + PYTHON)

Job Description: You will be joining Mple.ai, an AI-powered training platform for enterprises, to work as a Software Development Engineer 2 (MERN + Python) with 5-6 years of experience. In this role, you will take ownership of projects end-to-end, making a significant impact on the development and deployment of scalable web applications using MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and Python. You will collaborate closely with founders, product managers, and designers, translating requirements into working features and ensuring clean code practices. As a leader, you will guide a small team of developers, driving code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a small team of developers, guiding them in design, coding, and best practices. - Build, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications using MERN stack and Python. - Collaborate closely with founders, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into working features. - Take ownership of end-to-end development from architecture design, coding, testing, to deployment. - Drive code reviews, ensure clean code practices, and mentor junior developers. - Stay updated with the latest tech trends and propose improvements. Qualifications Required: - 5 years of hands-on experience in Software development. - Strong proficiency in Python (experience with Flask and ML techniques preferred). - Solid understanding of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL/MySQL). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker). - Exposure to building scalable REST APIs and microservices. - Ability to lead and mentor a small team, ensuring delivery within timelines. - Startup experience or experience in small teams (ability to work in fast-paced, unstructured environments). - Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
