As a Senior Research Scientist in the Centre for Cancer Immunology at Southampton General Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to cancer immunology. The center, a result of a successful fundraising campaign, is the first of its kind in the UK, building upon Southampton's rich history in immunology and cancer research. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to an interdisciplinary research program focused on developing novel antibody-based therapeutics through protein engineering under the guidance of Professors Sally Ward and Raimund Ober. - Oversee in vitro and in vivo cellular assays, with expertise in analyzing the behavior of antibody or other protein-based therapeutics. - Play a supervisory role by guiding junior technicians and training laboratory members in immunological and in vivo techniques. - Collaborate with team members on research projects spanning molecular and cellular analyses to studies in mouse models of disease. **Qualifications Required:** - Hold scientific knowledge equivalent to a Ph.D. level, with 2-3 years of additional experience. - Possess relevant academic qualifications, proven leadership skills, and good IT proficiency. - Demonstrate a strong background in antibody-based therapeutics and cellular assays.
