School Skating Coach

Contact Ms. Tanisha: +919148378013 Job Summary: The Skating Coach is responsible for designing and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate skating instruction for students. This includes teaching basic to advanced skating skills, ensuring safety on and off the rink, preparing students for inter-school events, and promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship. Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Coaching: Teach fundamental and advanced skating techniques appropriate to student skill levels. Plan and lead regular skating practice sessions. Develop individualized coaching plans to help students improve performance. Competition and Events: Prepare students for intra- and inter-school skating competitions and exhibitions. Organize or assist in the organization of school-level skating events and demonstrations. Safety and Supervision: Ensure a safe skating environment by teaching proper warm-up, cool-down, and injury prevention techniques. Monitor students during sessions to maintain discipline and prevent accidents. Conduct routine equipment and rink safety checks. Development and Mentorship: Foster teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and confidence in student-athletes. Identify talent and nurture advanced students for competitive skating or external training programs. Administrative Duties: Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and achievements. Communicate with parents, school administration, and event coordinators as needed. Assist in the upkeep and inventory of skating equipment. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a skating coach or competitive skater (certification preferred: e.g., ISU, RSA, or national body). Experience working with children or adolescents in a coaching or teaching role. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on school policy). Knowledge of injury prevention and basic sports health and safety practices. Key Skills and Attributes: Strong skating technique and instructional skills.
