School Nurse

The ideal candidate for the School Nurse position should possess a qualification in ANM/GNM or equivalent, along with at least 4 years of experience working in school environments. Good to average communication skills in English are essential, and being a Registered Nurse (RN) or holding an equivalent qualification is required. Experience in working with children and adolescents is a must, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children are highly valued in this role. Current certification in CPR and first aid is also necessary. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to students across all grades, ranging from pre-primary to secondary levels. Your primary tasks will include delivering first aid, assessing medical needs, and offering emotional assistance to students requiring support. You will be expected to administer medical aid promptly when necessary, evaluate the medical requirements of students, and engage with those in need of medical attention, providing both medical support and connecting with parents as required. Recommending medical procedures in consultation with parents/guardians and medical professionals, managing the school's medical room and supplies, maintaining accurate records of student medical histories, treatments, and incidents, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to ensure student health and well-being are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and conducting health education programs and workshops for students.
