Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Resource Management
• Curate, organize, and maintain collections of books, e-books, databases, and multimedia resources.
• Manage cataloguing systems, library management software, and digital platforms.
• Student Support
• Guide students in developing research, reading, and critical thinking skills.
• Provide access to age-appropriate materials tailored to different grade levels.
• Collaboration with Teachers
• Work closely with educators to integrate library resources into classroom learning.
• Support project-based work, research assignments, and curriculum development.
• Technology Integration
• Promote the use of educational technologies and online research tools.
• Introduce innovative digital learning resources to enhance student engagement.
• Library Environment
• Maintain an inviting, student-friendly space that encourages reading and exploration.
• Organize events like book fairs, reading programs, and author visits.
• Community Engagement
• Encourage book donations and partnerships to expand resources.
• Foster collaboration and creative problem-solving among students and staff.

Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background:Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Education.(B.Lib) or (M.Lib)
• Core Skills:
• Strong organizational and cataloguing abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of digital tools, databases, and educational technologies.
• Personal Attributes:
• Passion for reading and learning.
• Ability to inspire curiosity and independent research.
• Adaptability to blend traditional library services with modern digital tools.
• Experience 5-10 years
