Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
scalable Big Data applications
using
Scala
.
Develop and deploy
REST-based microservices
(preferably using
Play Framework
).
Work extensively with
Kafka
for event-driven data processing and real-time communication.
Integrate and optimize
Elasticsearch
for advanced data search and indexing capabilities.
Design data models and manage persistence using
NoSQL (Cassandra)
and
SQL databases
.
Ensure systems deliver
low-latency, high-throughput
, and high availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, optimize performance, and implement best practices.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities.

Key Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a
software product development environment
building Big Data applications.
Strong hands-on experience in
Scala
(functional programming).
Experience developing
RESTful microservices
, ideally with
Play Framework (MVC)
.
Proficiency in
Elasticsearch
and
Kafka messaging
for data-intensive applications.
Experience working with
NoSQL and SQL databases
, preferably
Cassandra
.
Proven experience developing
low-latency, high-transactional systems

Strong understanding of
distributed systems and data pipelines

Familiarity with
