SAP Hybris Commerce / Liferay Portal Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Analysis:

  Analyze business requirements for e-commerce functionalities, content management, and portal features. Design and propose technical solutions leveraging SAP Hybris Commerce and Liferay Portal capabilities.

• SAP Hybris Commerce Development:

  Develop and customize features, modules, and integrations within the SAP Hybris Commerce platform using Java, Spring, Hybris APIs, and relevant front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Liferay Portal Development:

  Develop and customize portlets, themes, layouts, and integrations for the Liferay Portal, utilizing Java, JSPs, Spring, and Liferay APIs to create engaging portal experiences.

• Implementation & Deployment:

  Lead or assist in the implementation, configuration, and deployment of solutions for both SAP Hybris Commerce and Liferay Portal environments.

• Integration:

  Design and implement integrations between SAP Hybris Commerce, Liferay Portal, and other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ERP, CRM, payment gateways, external content sources).

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Perform in-depth troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution for complex problems within both Hybris Commerce and Liferay Portal applications.

• Performance Optimization:

  Optimize the performance and scalability of developed solutions on both platforms.

• Code Quality & Best Practices:

  Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for development and security.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with business analysts, UI/UX designers, quality assurance teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Java Development:

  Strong proficiency in

  Core Java

  and

  Spring Framework

  concepts.

• SAP Hybris Commerce:

  Hands-on development and customization experience with

  SAP Hybris Commerce (now SAP Commerce Cloud)

  , including modules like PCM, WCMS, Order Management, Search & Navigation.

• Liferay Portal:

  Hands-on development and customization experience with

  Liferay Portal

  (preferably DXP), including portlet development, theme customization, and Liferay APIs.

• Web Technologies:

  Solid understanding of modern web technologies, including

  HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  , and potentially front-end frameworks.

• Database Skills:

  Familiarity with relational databases and SQL for data management within commerce and portal contexts.

• API Integration:

  Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and other integration patterns.

• Problem-Solving:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues across integrated systems.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively within a team.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
