SAP Functional Consultant (SD Module)

We are seeking highly skilled Japanese-speaking SAP Functional Consultants to join our remote team in India. The ideal candidates should have deep functional expertise, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience on SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Module. The role involves driving end-to-end SAP implementations, ensuring alignment with business processes, and delivering seamless integration across systems.

Core Requirements

Professional language proficiency in the Japanese language.

At least 5 years of experience working on SAP projects.

Specialized in design and configuration of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module.

Expertise in SAP processes like Order to Cash (OTC) and Procure to Pay (PTP).

Preferred experience in SAP S/4HANA.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Strong experience with SAP SD user exits for sales order, delivery, and billing.

Good knowledge of SD pricing, account assignment, and revenue recognition processes.

Ability to debug ABAP and collaborate with technical teams.

Proficient in SAP SD configurations and integration with other SAP modules.

Experience in writing functional and technical specifications for ABAP custom programs and interfaces.

Hands-on experience with intercompany postings, pro forma invoices, and SAP iDocs for order induction.

Project management experience in SAP implementations with external system integrations (experience with Apple PLC preferred).

Ability to understand new business strategies and recommend automated solutions to support them.

Skilled in presenting system designs and solutions to business users (audience size: 1020 people).

Proven ability to implement solutions within predefined budget, scope, and timelines.

Experience collaborating with regional business teams to define scope, gather requirements, and deliver solutions.

Strong capability in conceptual and detailed design to meet business needs.

Experience in writing specifications, testing, and final product rollout.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional, global teams. Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional designs.

Configure, test, and deploy SAP solutions for assigned modules.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and performance optimization. Conduct workshops, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.

Prepare detailed documentation — including design documents, configuration guides, and test scripts. Role-Specific Expertise 1. SAP Functional Consultant – Order to Cash (OTC / SD)

Deep expertise in SAP SD module: sales order management, delivery, billing, pricing, and shipping.

Integration experience with MM, FI, WM, and Ariba.

Knowledge of credit management and third-party order processing. Hands-on experience in end-to-end OTC implementations and production support. 2. SAP Functional Consultant – Procure to Pay (PTP)

Proficient in SAP MM with focus on procurement, vendor management, and invoice verification.

Understanding of Procure-to-Pay workflows and automation.

Integration knowledge with FI/CO and Ariba. 3. SAP Ariba Functional Consultant

Experience with Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Management, and Procurement modules. Integration experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

Familiar with Ariba Network, Cloud Integration Gateway, and supplier enablement. 4. SAP Functional Consultant – Japanese Speaker

Proficiency in Japanese and English.

Experience in any SAP module (preferably SD/MM/FI).

Serve as a bridge between Japanese clients and global SAP teams.

Ability to prepare bilingual documentation and functional specifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant SAP consulting experience.

SAP certification in the relevant module preferred.

Strong problem-solving and client-facing skills.

Proven ability to deliver SAP projects independently in a remote environment. Preferred Skills Experience in S/4HANA environments.

Exposure to Agile delivery models.

Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Strong coordination across business, technical, and offshore teams.
