Sap Fico Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end implementation and support of SAP FICO modules, including configuration, customization, testing, and deployment.

• Conduct detailed analysis of complex business requirements to deliver scalable and efficient SAP FICO solutions.

• Facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and document business requirements.

• Design, configure, and test SAP FI/CO modules (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, etc.).

• Identify functional gaps and provide suitable workaround solutions or system enhancements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison between business users and technical teams

• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes and reporting requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP FICO modules, including detailed root cause analysis.
  
• Create and maintain functional documentation including functional specs, test cases, and training material.

• Provide training and user support for business stakeholders as needed.
  
• Contribute to standardization efforts by advising clients to adopt SAP best practices with minimal customization.
  
• Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and intellectual property protection norms.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO module implementation and support.

• Strong understanding of core financial processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center & Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Internal Orders.
  
• Knowledge of Results Analysis, Project System, and Overhead Assessment/Settlement processes.
  
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.
  
• Experience working with end-users and conducting training sessions.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team and interact with clients.

• Proactive attitude and a passion for continuous learning and development in SAP FICO domain.
  
• Certification in SAP FICO (preferred but not mandatory).
