SAP CPI Consultant

An SAP CPI Consultant designs, develops, and implements integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP applications using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), also known as SAP Integration Suite. Key responsibilities include configuring adapters, developing integration flows and APIs, writing scripts (Groovy/Java), performing testing and debugging, ensuring data integrity, managing APIs in SAP BTP, and providing ongoing support and documentation. The role requires strong technical skills in various integration protocols, scripting, and SAP technologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:

Create and customize complex integration flows, APIs, and connectors to facilitate data exchange between diverse systems.

Configuration:

Configure various adapters (e.g., SOAP, REST, OData, File, AMQP) and manage integration scenarios for different SAP and non-SAP applications.

Scripting:

Utilize Groovy and Java to develop custom logic and extend integration capabilities.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

Perform comprehensive unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing, and efficiently troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.

Data Management:

Ensure secure data exchange, implement data persistence, and manage error handling and notification mechanisms.

API Management:

Leverage SAP BTP API Management to design, deploy, and manage APIs across platforms.

Collaboration:

Work with cross-functional teams and functional consultants to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Documentation:

Create and maintain technical specifications, interface designs, and integration process documentation.

Support:

Provide ongoing L2 and L3 support for production incidents and enhancements, as well as manage migration projects from SAP PI/PO to SAP CPI.
