Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ChaRM (Change Request Management) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in configuring, implementing, and supporting the Change Control Management process within SAP Solution Manager (SolMan). You will be instrumental in governing and standardizing the end-to-end transport and change lifecycle across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration : Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP ChaRM functionality in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 or later versions.
- Process Governance : Define, maintain, and enforce the change and release management strategy, procedures, and best practices using ChaRM across SAP landscapes (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO).
- Change Management Lifecycle : Manage the end-to-end Change Request Management lifecycle for various change types (Normal, Urgent, General, Defect Correction, Release Cycles).
- Technical Setup : Perform technical setup activities, including the configuration of Logical Component Groups, Landscape Management Database (LMDB), System Landscape Directory (SLD), and Transport Routes.
- Retrofit & CSOL : Expertise in setting up and managing Enhanced Retrofit and Cross-System Object Locking (CSOL) functionality for dual-track development.
- Integration : Configure integration points between ChaRM and other SolMan modules like ITSM (IT Service Management) and Test Suite.
- Support & Troubleshooting : Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and resolution for ChaRM-related issues, transport errors, and system landscape synchronization problems.
- Documentation & Training : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide training to functional and BASIS teams.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of dedicated experience in SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM) within SAP Solution Manager.
- Proven expertise in the configuration and administration of SAP Solution Manager 7.2 (or higher).
- In-depth knowledge of Transport Management System (TMS) and its integration with ChaRM.
- Hands-on experience with setting up and managing ChaRM functionality (including workflow, status profiles, and PPF actions).
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Change and Release Management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or co-located setting and manage multiple priorities.
Interview Process
- The selection process will involve two virtual interview rounds, focusing on technical depth in SAP ChaRM, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
