Position Overview

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Consultant

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP BTP Development & Extensions

• Develop, deploy, and manage cloud applications using SAP BTP (CAP, SAP UI5, Fiori, Node.js, Java).
• Build side-by-side extensions, custom applications, and enhancements for SAP S/4HANA and other SAP systems.
• Design reusable components and services using SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and Neo environments.

2. Integration & Connectivity

• Configure and manage SAP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, and related services.
• Integrate SAP systems with third-party or legacy applications commonly used in the pharma/healthcare industry.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and compliant data exchange across platforms.

• 3. Security, Authorization & Compliance

• Implement authentication and authorization concepts including OAuth, SAML, XSUAA, IAS/IPS.
• Ensure data privacy, GxP, HIPAA, and other regulatory compliance requirements as applicable to pharma/healthcare clients.

4. SAP BTP Administration

• Manage subaccounts, entitlements, service configurations, transport processes, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor application health, performance, and troubleshoot BTP services.

5. Solution Design & Architecture

• Participate in design workshops with business and functional teams.
• Provide architectural recommendations and best practices aligned with SAP BTP roadmap and industry standards.

6. Documentation & Support

• Prepare technical design documents, configuration guides, unit test plans, and deployment notes.
• Support end users, functional consultants, and cross-functional teams in resolving technical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience

  working in SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Neo) environments.
• Strong expertise in

  SAP UI5/Fiori

  Node.js/Java

  XS Advanced

  , and BTP application development.
• Proven experience with

  SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh)

• Solid understanding of

  SAP S/4HANA integration

  , OData services, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience working on

  pharma or healthcare projects

  with awareness of industry-specific processes and compliance (GxP, HIPAA, Audit-Readiness).
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, or SAP BTP Transport Management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP BTP or Integration Suite certification.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core, SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Work Zone, and Low-Code/No-Code solutions.
• Experience in multi-tenant/enterprise-grade cloud application development.
• Knowledge of data governance and security practices in regulated industries.
