SAP Basis OSDB consultant

You will be responsible for planning and executing the migration of Oracle databases to Azure while ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining data integrity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will assess migration requirements and design strategies accordingly. Prior to migration, you will conduct assessments on existing Oracle databases to identify any potential issues or complexities. Utilizing SAP Migration tools like Software Provisioning Manager and Oracle native backup and restore tools, you will facilitate the migration process. Post-migration, you will monitor and optimize database performance to guarantee efficiency and reliability. In case of any issues during or after migration, you will troubleshoot and resolve them promptly. Documentation of migration processes, changes, and configurations will be essential for future reference and compliance. Experience in handling backup and restore of MaxDB will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate for this role should possess at least 4 years of experience in SAP Basis, specifically in handling SAP OS/DB migrations with a focus on Oracle database migrations to cloud platforms. Expertise in SAP Basis administration, Oracle database management, and proficiency in migration tools such as SWPM, brtools, RMAN, and Oracle data guard is required. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems within SAP environments is also necessary. Strong problem-solving skills will be crucial for effectively addressing any challenges that may arise during the migration process.
