Job Description

As an SAP BASIS Administrator at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in administering and managing SAP BASIS environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating, and performance tuning SAP and non-SAP systems. - Providing full-cycle BASIS support, including incident, request, and problem management, change execution, and ensuring environment stability. - Performing technical operations such as kernel upgrades, SPS updates, patch implementations, transport management, system refreshes, and log administration. - Monitoring SAP systems for performance, availability, and capacity, and proactively resolving any issues. - Coordinating with vendors and stakeholders for issue resolution and project execution. - Supporting documentation and knowledge management through the creation and updating of technical articles and SOPs. - Assisting in performance and capacity planning by analyzing system metrics and forecasting hardware/software requirements. - Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness of SAP landscapes. - Working within the ITIL framework to manage service delivery and continuous improvement. To qualify for this role, you should have: - 6-9 years of experience in SAP BASIS Administration. - Strong hands-on expertise in SAP HANA, UNIX, and SAP system operations. - Professional certifications such as SAP Certified Consultant or ITIL are preferred. - Proven experience in upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments. - Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills. - Experience working with international clients and cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in UNIX and database tools. - Familiarity with high availability solutions and technical architecture planning. - Ability to lead and train teams, and manage project planning and scoping. - Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management.
