Sap B1 Techno Functional Consultant

Role & responsibilities

1. SAP Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement the companys SAP roadmap aligned with business goals.
  
• Establish SAP governance models, policies, and best practices for data management, change control, and authorization.
  
• Plan system upgrades, migrations (e.g., to S/4 HANA), and integrations with third-party applications.
  

2. SAP Implementation & Customization

• Lead SAP implementation or enhancement projects across modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, QM, PM, etc.).
  
• Coordinate with SAP functional and technical consultants to customize workflows as per business needs.
  
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  
• Oversee testing (UAT), training, and go-live activities.
  

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with heads of departments (Finance, Sales, Production, Stores, HR) to map business processes and identify improvement areas.
  
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for SAP configuration.
  
• Drive user adoption and ensure standardization of processes across all locations.
  

4. Data Management & Reporting

• Oversee master data accuracy and compliance across all modules.
  
• Develop and automate management dashboards and MIS reports (using SAP HANA, Power BI, or Crystal Reports).
  
• Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery procedures are in place.
  

5. Team Management

• Lead a team of SAP Functional & Technical Consultants (in-house and external).
  
• Conduct regular training and skill development programs for SAP users.
  
• Evaluate team performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  

6. System Maintenance & Support

• Ensure smooth day-to-day SAP operations and resolve critical issues promptly.
  
• Manage annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), licenses, and vendor coordination.
  
• Monitor system performance, security, and audit compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing, trading, or service sectors.
  
• Expertise in SAP B1 platform administration and configuration.
  
• Proficiency in SQL queries, SAP HANA Studio, and report designing tools (Crystal Reports / Power BI).
  
• Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
  
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
