Job Description

SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement solutions within various
SAP APO modules
, including
Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
, and Global Available-to-Promise (GATP).
Translate complex supply chain planning business requirements into effective SAP APO configurations and processes.
Conduct comprehensive
system testing
(unit, integration, UAT) to ensure the stability and functionality of SAP APO solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to planning runs, master data, and integration within the SAP APO environment.
Ensure seamless
integration between SAP APO and SAP ECC/S/4HANA
using CIF (Core Interface).
Provide ongoing support, training, and documentation to end-users and key stakeholders.
Optimize planning parameters and models to improve forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an
SAP APO Consultant
.

Skills Required:

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with at least two SAP APO modules
(e.g.,
DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP
).
Strong understanding of
supply chain planning concepts
including demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling.
Expertise in
SAP APO integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA via CIF (Core Interface)
.
Proficiency in business process analysis and solution design within the supply chain domain.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with SAP customization techniques and ABAP basics for debugging.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with
SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning)
as a successor to APO.
SAP APO or Supply Chain Management certification.
Knowledge of other SAP Logistics modules.
Experience in full-cycle SAP APO implementations across various industries.
