Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP RAP Developer to design, develop, and implement Restful Application Programming solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP, CDS, OData, and RAP framework, with hands-on experience in extensibility and deployment across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using
SAP BTP RAP (Restful Application Programming)
framework.
Design and implement
ABAP-based solutions
, including
CDS views
,
OData services
, and
annotations
.
Work on
Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios
for both
On-Stack
and
Side-by-Side extensibility
.
Utilize
Entity Manipulation Language (EML)
for transactional processing in RAP.
Collaborate on
cloud deployments
and ensure smooth integration with SAP systems.
Develop and deploy applications using
Business Application Studio (BAS)
and
Visual Studio Code
.
Ensure adherence to best practices in
performance, security, and scalability
.
Troubleshoot and optimize RAP applications for high availability and reliability

Preferred candidate profile

4 to 14 years

Strong proficiency in
ABAP
,
CDS
,
OData
, and
annotations
.
Hands-on experience with
RAP Managed and Unmanaged scenarios
.
Expertise in
On-Stack and Side-by-Side extensibility
.
Familiarity with
SAP BTP
,
Cloud Foundry
, and
deployment tools
(BAS/VS Code).
Understanding of
EML
and transactional behavior in RAP.
Experience in
cloud application development
and integration.

Nice-to-Have:

Knowledge of
SAP Fiori/UI5
for front-end development.
Exposure to
CI/CD pipelines
and
DevOps practices
in SAP BTP.
Certification in
SAP BTP or RAP framework
.
