SAM Analyst

Alcor Solutions is seeking to hire a Software Asset Analyst.

This position is an integral part of the daily operations of the Software Asset Management team. The right candidate must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with different internal partners such as helpdesk, packaging teams, sourcing, contracting, procurement, legal, etc.

This role will be responsible for managing a multiple of software licenses, associated compliance and coordinating renewal activities across a diverse, global application landscape.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage software licenses throughout their lifecycle
• Load and maintain license entitlements and maintenance records in asset book of record
• Align entitlements to appropriate software models in the IT Asset Management system, including but not limited to license assignments to users/devices, setting license metric attributes, and subscription term Validate available license entitlements for all in scope software requests
• Review and resolve unmatched or partially matched software discovery normalization records for all in scope software publishers and titles Respond to software license fulfillment requests and license-related inquiries from end users within defined SLAs
• Support Software Asset Managers and SAM Leads in software license reconciliation and compliance remediation activities Analyze software asset data and create reports, dashboards and KPIs
• Understanding of the software discovery process, and associated discovery tools e.g., Microsoft SCCM, JAMF, ServiceNow Discovery, IBM BigFix/ILMT, VMware vCenter etc. Coordinate and manage the onboarding on applications to Client's internal catalog.
• Assist with key Software Asset Management initiatives as defined by the Client.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-6 years of experience in Software Asset Management, ideally in license management or administration SAM tool experience is required e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, Aspera etc.
• SAM certification is recommended e.g., CSAM, CSM, or ASM etc.
• Understanding of software licensing across major publishers (Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Oracle etc.)
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Office365 (i.e., OneNote, OneDrive, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams) and other presentational or collaboration software Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
