Sales Officer (SO)

Job Summary

The Sales Officer is responsible for assisting customers in selecting jewellery, achieving sales targets, and providing an excellent shopping experience. The role requires strong product knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to handle high-value jewellery sales with trust and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in selecting gold, diamond, silver, and gemstone jewellery.
• Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable designs and products.
• Explain jewellery details such as weight, purity, pricing, making charges, and certification.
• Achieve individual and showroom sales targets.
• Build long-term customer relationships and maintain repeat clientele.
• Coordinate with the cashier for billing, advance payments, and final settlements.
• Handle jewellery display, tagging, and stock movement as per SOP.
• Ensure showroom cleanliness, product presentation, and visual merchandising.
• Follow company policies related to pricing, discounts, and schemes.
• Support gold exchange, old jewellery purchase, and customer schemes where applicable.
• Maintain sales records and customer details.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate (any discipline).
• 1–5 years of experience in jewellery or luxury retail sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of jewellery pricing and customer handling.
• Sales-driven with a customer-focused approach.
• Presentable, polite, and trustworthy.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in gold exchange and diamond sales.
• Knowledge of hallmarking, certifications, and jewellery trends.
• Familiarity with POS / jewellery ERP systems.

Working Conditions

• Retail showroom environment.
• Standing for extended hours.
• Work on weekends and during festive seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
