Job Purpose:
- Leading a Team of Engineers & Performing engineering work related to Technical Project Lead for Steam Turbines.
- Prepare and release engineering deliverables as required by peer functions / clients within time and budget with Everllence Quality standards
Job Responsibilities
- 15+ yrs. of experience in Turbo Machinery calculation of steam turbine
- Leading Calculation team for Steam Turbine & Global Engineering Services
- Thermal Calculation, Bought Our Engineering
- Good understanding of thermodynamics and turbo machinery in general
- Experience in working with water-steam cycle design tools (e.g. Ebsilon)
- Design and optimization of heat and mass balance models for complex power generation systems
- Thermodynamic selection of frame and design of complete steam path
- Understanding of mechanics and design of steam turbines components (blading, casing, rotor, etc)
- New Product Development & Testing, Product & Cost Optimization Activities, Standardization
- Knowledge in relevant standards applicable in design IEC, DIN, API, PT6, NEMA etc
- Understanding of IMS
Key Competencies Required
- Leading Calculation team for Steam Turbine Business & delivering following
- Pre order support (Sales & Bid team) & Post order project engineering. Participate in Client & Consultant technical discussions
- Support After Sales Business team in Refurbishing, Retrofitting, Power enhancement related requirements
- New Product Development (NPD), Product & Cost Optimization Activities, etc.
- Work closely with peer teams within engineering and cross-functional teams to meet the Organizational objectives
- Train, Mentor & Coach Team members
- Support field service engineers with Erection, Commissioning, Performance Evaluation & Trouble shooting of Turbine & Accessories

Sales Manager - STG (New Equipment Sales)
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth of Steam Turbine Generators (STG) from the Bengaluru business unit. The role involves bid estimation, business development, market intelligence, and end-to-end sales management, ensuring order booking targets are achieved with defined margins. The Sales Manager will manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and bid preparation to deal closure and customer satisfaction, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies and plans for key accounts to meet personal and team sales targets.
- Maintain detailed profiles on key customers, including customer capacity, process information, products used, demand volumes, competitor share information, expansion plans, and organizational structure.
- Track upcoming projects and enquiries; provide budgetary bid support.
- Conduct presentations and meetings with customers, highlighting USPs in tenders.
- Generate inquiries, identify opportunities, and propose suitable STG solutions.
- Manage bid & tender evaluation, budgetary bid preparation, and coordinate technical bid approvals with Engineering.
- Ensure smooth handover of orders to the projects team and provide timely support during execution, including payment follow-up.
- Coordinate with bid/engineering teams on current and emerging technology changes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technology developments.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and MIS for management review.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Support business development initiatives to enhance market share.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and service teams to align sales strategies with business goals.
Key Competencies Required
- Strong technical understanding of steam turbines and fundamentals of thermodynamics.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, including Head of Sales (technical risk), Commercial Manager (commercial risk), and Project Management (execution support).
- Proven capability to coordinate with global sales and application teams for product details, specifications, and bid support.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on risk evaluation.
- High degree of customer orientation, relationship management, and business acumen.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.

Qualification & Experience

- At least 10 -15 years of related experience with a proven track record in the sales of steam turbines / power equipment.
