Job Description

Role Overview: As a Sales Manager at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, your main responsibility will be to proactively solicit and manage group/catering-related opportunities. You will actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue and achieve personal and team related revenue goals. It will be crucial for you to ensure that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Your focus will be on driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Key Responsibilities: - Identify new group/catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals. - Understand the overall market, including competitors" strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, to effectively sell against them. - Close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs. - Respond to incoming group/catering opportunities for the property that are outside parameters of the Event Booking Center. - Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts. - Support the operational aspects of business booked, such as generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence. - Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts. - Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. - Conduct site inspections, create contracts as required, and participate in and practice daily service basics of the brand. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area. OR - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major; no work experience required.
