JOB ANALYSIS QUESTIONNAIRE (JAQ)

POSITION TITLE: Sales Executive DEPARTMENT: Sales

TITLE POSITION REPORTS TO: Regional Sales Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION (2 OR 3 BRIEF SENTENCES):

To execute agreed sales (volumes/ netback) & marketing (brand building) plan in respective territory. Provide inputs for development of

sales plan including customer feedback, market & agricultural information and competitor developments.

TOP (5) POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ESTIMATED PERCENTAGE OF TIME EACH REQUIRES:

40 % Implementation of Sales Plan in assigned territory: Achieve sales targets as per plan;; Monitor stock availability and provide

forecast accuracy.

15 % Deliver Financial Measures as per plan: Netback to Port, Cost control through primary freight; Working Credit Limit

Adherence; Reduce collection time and charges; subsidy, mFMS and Govt. liaising

10 % Logistics and Supply Chain: Coordinate rake planning and execution for the territory

15 % Customer Focus: Customer contact at distributor and retailer level: Set up distribution network across the territory; segment

distributors; resolve general customer issues; reconciliation of accounts and invoices

20 % Execution of Marketing Plan & Impact Measurement in assigned territory: Identification of innovative growers, organize

group meetings and conduct trials at farmers' fields; conduct promotional activities; find alternative channels for increasing

product reach to the farmers level.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (MINIMUM REQUIRED):

YRS EDUCATION: DEGREE: Bachelor’s Degree/Msc. in Agriculture MAJOR: Sales & Marketing/ Agriculture

CERTIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE/

KNOWLEDGE:

1-4 years post qualification with similar experience

COMPUTER SKILLS: MS Office, Presentation

OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS & ABILITIES

(i.e., leadership, communication, interpersonal,

etc):

Basic understanding and Experience in rural markets

Aggressive & proactive in approach

Positive team player

Negotiation Skills

Commercial Acumen

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Willingness to work in rural markets with retailers.

This position is that of individual contributor. It involves extensive travel in the assigned territory.
